I am baba - a beautiful new piece of theatre for babies

I am baba - a beautiful new piece of theatre for babies

A new piece of theatre for babies aged 0-12months is coming to Fingal this October - we welcome tiny experts to help in the creation of I am Baba which will tour to  three locations in Fingal - Draiocht in Blanchardstown, Holywell Community Centre in Swords & Flemington Community Centre in Balbriggan.  The performance is a creative conversation between performer and baby where each show is nuanced in response to each baby and their adult companion. Attendance is free, but booking is essential as places are limited.

Space Invaders - Early Years Arts Festival 2017

Space Invaders returns to Farmleigh this May with a creative and playful programme for children aged 0-5years and their adults. Fingal Arts Office recognises the importance of supporting the artistic learning, development and wellbeing of children, their carers and educators. Space Invaders upholds the principles of the Creative Ireland Programme and supports the development of a creative society for all.  Working in partnership with Cliodhna Noonan of Acting Up Arts and Jackie Maguire of Colourstrings Music with Jackie we have devised an artistic programme that celebrates and supports these important first years in life.

An Invitation To Collaboration 2016

An Invitation To Collaboration 2016

Fingal County Council in partnership with South Dublin, Dublin City & Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Councils were successful with their application for a new Early Years Arts Commission and Engagement programme through the Arts Council’s Invitation to Collaboration Scheme.

We are one of six projects nationwide to receive funding under this scheme.  It is great news for the early years arts sector.

Here is an arts council promo piece for the scheme.

Call for Artists - Early Years Music

Fingal County Council is inviting expressions of interest from visual artists who are interested in working in partnership with Fingal Arts Office, artist Jackie Maguire and relevant organisations and community groups, to deliver a unique Early Years Arts programme with Traveller children and their mothers in two North Fingal Traveller Communities. The pilot project aims to embed music and visual art in two Traveller sites namely; Ardla in Skerries and Forest Little in Swords, through various interconnected workshops facilitated by Jackie Maguire, who will lead the music element of the programme and one visual artist, who will facilitate the visual arts element of the programme.
