NCAD 2nd Year Ceramic & Glass Exhibition Swords Castle

Students from NCAD will exhibit their 2nd end of year show at Swords Castle . The students will present work in ceramic and glass in the unique setting of Swords Castle Chapel. The exhibition will be opened by Dr. Helen McAlister, Head of Applied Arts and Material Culture at NCAD on Thursday 7th of May at 6pm - 9pm. The exhibition will be open daily from 12.30pm - 4.30pm until May 10th. All welcome

National College of Art and Design to host annual end of year Ceramic and Glass exhibition at Swords Castle.
The second year design students, specialising in Ceramics and glass from the National College of Art and Design will host their annual end of year exhibition in the beautiful chapel of Swords Castle on Thursday May 7th. With the help of Fingal County Council, the student group have been given access to this unique venue to display a selection of their current work.The show will feature 6 artists including Fingal artist Kenneth Cullen from Rolestown.Kenneth Cullen approached the arts office looking for assistance to host their annual show in Fingal and given the form and theme of the suggested work, Swords Castle seemed like a perfect choice.

The show will feature work by students Alice Power, Hattie Bellingham, Kelly O’Connor,Peter Flatherty, Kenneth Cullen and Irene Duffy who will present a selection of their current work which demonstrates contemporary approaches to working with ceramic and glass. The work will explore light,texture, material and abstract forms to communicate their current research themes from their course at NCAD
The exhibition will be launched by Dr. Helen McAlister from NCAD on Thursday 7th of May from 6pm – 9pm and the exhibition will be open to the public daily from 12.30p, - 4.30pm until Sunday 10th of May.All Welcome.
