Let’s Stay Together: Gerry Lynders of Lynders Mobile Home Park

For this week's Let ‘stay Together series we catch up with one of our valuable community partners, Gerry Lynders, proprietor of Lynders Mobile Home Park and host of our ongoing residency programme Resort Residency. Since 2014 Gerry has welcomed a wide range of artists to Portrane, introducing them to the areas rich history and Community spirit and providing essential inspiration for new and exciting work.

Resort Residency is now in its 6th year,winning a prestigious Business to Arts Award in 2016 for best collaboration, Gerry has built a studio/gallery space onsite to assist in the ongoing support of the project. With the mobile home season getting underway artists would have been beginning residencies at the park, so with plans on hold until when we can re-open, we felt that it is a nice opportunity  to reflect on all that has been created on Resort Residency at Lynders Mobile Home Park in the last few years at the park with Gerry.

A dedicated website www.resortresidency.ie will be launched later in the summer featuring past projects and  will include details of new opportunities at  Resort Residency and we are  looking  forward to that.

Let's Stay Together is an initiative of Fingal Arts Office which offers a platform to connect online  with our artists and stakeholders during Covid 19 and to celebrate those who will continue to bring Fingal to life through the arts.
