Announcement of the Limerick Gathering Bursary 2025 with the Performing Arts Forum and Fingal County Council Arts Office

Fingal County Council Arts Office and Performing Arts Forum are proud to announce the Limerick Gathering Bursary. Fingal County Council are offering four bursaries for professional artist in the Fingal administrative area.

Hundreds of artists, arts workers and arts organisation people from arts centres and production companies, festivals and funders will come together in Limerick from 27th – 29th May for two days of conversation, provocation, and inspiration. Sessions will take place in the Lime Tree Theatre with an artistic programme on the first evening of the event.

Fingal County Council Arts Officer, Sarah O’Neill said, “We are proud to be working with the Performing Arts Forum to support professional Fingal artists to attend and contribute to the Limerick Gathering. This opportunity will enable artist to connect, network and explore ideas in their medium.”

Fingal County Council Arts Office is offering four bursaries for professional artist based in the Fingal area. Each awarded artist of the bursary will receive a ticket to Performing Arts Forum Limerick Gathering which includes all day sessions, two lunches, dinner, coffee breaks and the artistic programme. The recipients will also receive an artist honorarium of €150 as well as accommodation and travel contribution of €150.

To be eligible applicants must be in the Fingal administrative area, and in the honour of fairness and transparency this opportunity is for first time applicants. It is imperative to note that the Limerick gathering bursaries will be distributed on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis.

Submissions Deadline:
Friday, 28th March (or when allocated, as it is a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis)

About Performing Arts Forum

For over two decades, the Performing Arts Forum’s Limerick Gathering at the Lime Tree Theatre has been a staple event in the performing arts calendar. This year the Tuesday programme will be curated by Julie Kelleher, who brings a wealth of expertise and a visionary approach to her work in performing arts.

The Theatre Forum began in the late 90s as a way to connect isolated companies and artist and create a community. In 2023 Theatre Forum changed its name to Performing Arts Forum and adopted a strategic vison, the goals set are to facilitate connections, enable change and provide resources.
