The online consultation form is now live which is now inviting feedback from all Fingal Citizens and is available here https://consult.fingal.ie/en/surveys this information will be so valuable in the creation of vibrant artistic projects for your area!
In May 2016 Fingal County Council’s Arts Office hosted a series of countywide Information sessions on the possibilties of public art as they prepare for a new phase of Public Art Commissioning 2016 – 2019.
Public Art has the capacity to create new ways of looking at where we live,to celebrate our past, present and future,it has the capacity to energise our towns and mobilise our communities through sculpture, visual art, drama, music, theatre, performance, film, dance, literature and more.
As part of this phase we presented a variety of approaches to publc art both in Fingal, Nationally and Internationally and are now continuing to seek feedback from the public
We are delighted to have Curator Aisling Prior on board with this commissioning phase. Aisling has worked in a variety of high profile commissioning contexts, as artistic director of Ballymun Regeneration Ltd, she has also curated widely for numerous national state organisations. Aisling joined Fingal County Council’s Public Art Co-ordinator Caroline Cowley at these countywide sessions.
