Residency Opportunity: The Resort Residency/ Case Study II, Resort Revelations, Lynders Mobile Home Park, Portrane.
Fingal Arts Office is seeking expressions of interest from Artists & Curators to engage in a short term residency opportunity at Lynders Mobile Home Park, Portrane. This opportunity follows on from last year’s” Case Study I” the first exploration of the Donabate/Portrane Peninsula which saw artists, curators and academics spend week long periods at the mobile home park gathering, processing and engaging with the local area and it’s people, both as artist residents and holiday makers. The week long residencies focused on process, sharing of findings and the incubation of new projects. What stood out in the experience was the wealth of history, beauty of the area and the willingness of those from the area to engage with the residency project. As a result this year’s “Case Study II, Resort Revelations”, sees former artists returning to present some work which will reflect on their experiences of last year while complementing the activities of a local community festival by way of returning something to the area.
This year we have an opportunity for another set of residencies, which again will be taking on a focus on process and exploration and invitation to contribute to an archival Case study in relation to the local area, people and the experience of this context.    
Criteria
>Must be available in flexible periods from August – September
>Opportunity is open to Artists, Curators/ those wishing to collaborate/research
>A fee of €500 euro will be provided for the week long period
>The Mobile Home is located at Lynders Mobile Home Park and is fully fitted out with two rooms available 1 double room and 1 single room
>Assistance and introductions to local groups will be made and facilitated for the resident to gather information as required.
Requirements
Those wishing to avail of the residency must submit an expression of interest which outlines why they would like to undertake this Residency in Donabate/Portrane  and how it will benefit their practice no longer than 500 words/A4
